simplify your business and supercharge your productivity with my 5 step process

My motto when it comes to getting organised is this: there is always room to simplify.

Do you feel like you’re always spinning plates?

Are you worried that it’s only a matter of time before something gets missed?

Are you always working day-to-day in your business, rather than working on your long term vision?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you need my simplification tips.

  1. REVIEW every part of your business- the supply chain, range, logistics, marketing, budgets, expenditure, IT
  2. ASSESS your business, and be honest with yourself. What’s really working? What isn’t working? What’s missing?
  3. ELIMINATE any time-wasting tasks immediately. The best way to identify these is to keep a diary of every task you complete in a week and then decide how it added value. If it didn’t, get rid of it and use your time better.
  4. PLAN what comes next by setting your annual business goals and breaking them down in to quarterly sprints, and then monthly, weekly and daily goals. You should also create a calendar for promotions so you don’t miss any key trading dates.
  5. EXECUTE your plan. Set deadlines for your tasks and just start.
